Mi'kmaw

The Mi'kmaq are natives of Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton, and Maine. The Mi'kmaw hieroglyphic writing system has been in use since at least the 18th century, and was used by French missionaries of the 18th and 19th centuries.
