Men and Brothers, i have prepared a few words to say, to tell you.  Both of you are in this gathering, adults are included and also you young men.  Now, you will pay attention to what I speak [say].  This day, now, we will speak about the White Road [path] that has been prepared for us by our Fathers who lived long ago, what they said, now we will pay attention to this road, beautifully prepared and they who made it good.  It came to be that these men were chosen, the way this road is, the west, across to the east, is how the road lies.  This is how the road is.  This is how the road, belonging to us Keetoowahs, progresses.  I will tell you what will happen, why I had to mention this road.  New roads will form branches/forks, off of our road; it will have several different branches, [this] beloved road.  And so, my friend, if you ask me, I said, this destroyer of the road is coming, I am waiting for this, attacker of us Keetoowahs, we must be prepared.  There's so many different [groups of people] here in our nation  they can come out of and verily, [truly] it is sharp; it is coming.  Our men are going to get hooked [caught in it], that is, to take sides; they will approve.  They will see that they feel good, for a short while.  Somewhere, sometime, later on, their thoughts will bother them, but already, they will have given away too much money.  This is how it will be.  There will be laws established, based on this.  Now, there will be much money already given away, somewhere from time to time, to be paid by the nation.  Now, if this person [has no money] is broke, they will be set free, and then thrown away [forsaken].  They will be standing around. 
Second [point] is this.  This is how it is.  It is coming.  Our own men, 20 and 15 and 12 years of age, will act like they know about everything.  They will never obey the teachings of adults.  They will cut off the road that was made for us, and knowingly, they will attack the Keetoowah's road, the path that our Fathers paved.  It's amazing when you think about it.  As long as we are Keetoowahs, [we are] divided somewhere.  This taking of sides that is coming will break it up; the way that our Fathers paved for us, the 7 roads will truly end up broken.  Our men will knowingly do that; break it up, forsaking their Fathers, betraying them.  Because of taking of sides, that is coming to meet them.  Then, they will be lost, just like long ago, when they got lost, the [group] that was led by Moses.  They did what they wanted to do; they didn't believe Moses; they could not make it to the beautiful land, as they were being led.  They strayed off the road; they lost it forever, never reaching the land.  Those who believed Moses reached the beautiful land.  Not them, but only their children reached the land, chosen [designated] for them.  So, Keetoowahs, as we are led; let us not be doubters, that we may be led to the great land and be able to cross the ocean if we do not get lost.
And U-ge-wa-le-dv was his name.  He was a Keetoowah, a warrior; he was loved.  He chased after the Osage to Qua-lv [Qualla?]  Three Keetoowahs were killed and scalped.  The Cherokees were only hunting in the woods when they were found and they fought [the Osage], but the Cherokees got killed.  After that happened, the Keetoowahs found out and formed a group, then they tracked the four Osage, as if it was daylight.  They chased after them and if there was water, they went over on top of it.  As they went along, they found a dead person.  Now this place will be called "the place where he died," [Belfont] they said.
Secondly, they barely made it.  "This place will be called Sa-lu-ni-ge-yv," they said.
Thirdly, they saw a lot of black [people] and they watched them all day as they sat by the creek, as they rested from the war.  They were amazed at seeing the black people.  They were really nice and gentle, not wild.  "Now, this place will be called A-tsi-s-gv-hna-ge-dv-yi," [Moffett?] they said.
